Score and rank your ERP shortlist.

Weight the eight ERP selection criteria against what matters to your organization, score up to five candidate platforms, and see a ranked result instantly. No category here is secretly weighted toward any platform: your own inputs drive the ranking, nothing else.

What's in the RFP question bank.

The scorecard tool above unlocks a downloadable copy of your results plus this full RFP question bank, listed here in full so you can read it before you start.

Section A, question 1

Functional and technical fit

Which modules does the platform support natively versus through a bolt-on or partner add-on, specifically for the categories you weighted highest in your scorecard? Request a live demo environment scoped to those categories, not a scripted walkthrough.

Section A, question 2

Deployment and integration

Describe available deployment models (cloud, on-premise, hybrid) and provide standard API/integration documentation. List pre-built connectors to the systems you named as required integrations.

Section A, question 3

Data migration approach

Describe the data migration methodology: extraction, cleansing, validation, and cutover approach. Ask for the vendor's track record on migration-timeline accuracy, not just their stated process.

Section A, question 4

Implementation methodology and timeline

Request a phased implementation plan with milestones and a timeline sized to your organization's actual scope and complexity, not a generic minimum-case estimate.

Section A, question 5

Support, training, and SLA terms

Detail post-go-live support tiers, response-time SLAs, and the training approach: format, duration, ongoing access after go-live.

Section B, question 6

Vendor background and stability

Years in business, ownership structure, financial stability indicators, relevant industry certifications.

Section B, question 7

Total cost of ownership

Request an itemized breakdown across license/subscription, implementation, integration, training, and ongoing administration, projected over both 3 and 5 years, not a single up-front number.

Section B, question 8

References

Request three references at organizations of comparable size and industry, engaged within the last 18 months.

Section B, question 9

Evaluation and next steps

Ask the vendor to describe how you should expect to score their response internally, and request their proposed timeline from RFP submission to contract.

ERP selection scorecard: frequently asked questions

How does the scoring math work?
Each category you weight (as a percentage) is multiplied by the score you give a platform, 1 to 5, then summed and divided by your total weight. If your weights add up to 100, your result lands directly on a 1-to-5 scale. If they do not add up to 100, the math still normalizes correctly: a platform scored consistently high still ranks first, the total is just calculated from your actual weight distribution rather than a fixed 100-point scale.
What happens to the weights, platform names, and scores I enter?
Your weights, platform names, and scores are included in your submission so a Lightbridge advisor can follow up with real context. There is no account and no saved history: download your scorecard before you close the tab, since nothing is stored beyond that single notification.
How is this different from the ERP selection criteria guide?
The ERP selection criteria guide teaches the framework: the eight categories, how to weight them, and how to build an RFP from the result. This tool is the framework in action. You enter your own weights and scores and get a live ranking, plus a downloadable RFP question bank, rather than reading about how to build one yourself.
Why does the tool cap comparisons at five platforms?
Five keeps every platform genuinely scored rather than rushed, and keeps the results readable on one screen. If you are comparing more than five platforms, use the tool for your top five after an initial screen, the same shortlist discipline the ERP selection criteria guide recommends.
What do I get when I unlock the scorecard?
A single CSV file with two parts: your own ranked results exactly as entered, and a nine-item RFP question bank covering both the ERP-specific requirements vendors are rarely asked about directly, like data migration and implementation methodology, and the standard procurement items every RFP needs, like vendor stability and total cost of ownership.
Should I weight every category evenly?
Equal weighting feels neutral, but it usually is not. It quietly hands the same influence to a category that barely affects your business as to one that could make or break the implementation. The ERP selection criteria guide walks through weighting by actual business impact instead: a multi-entity company typically weights financial architecture heavier, a fast-growing distributor typically weights scalability heavier. If you are unsure where to start, score every category first, then adjust the weights until the ranking matches what you would actually choose if forced to decide without the tool.
What if two platforms end up nearly tied?
A near tie usually means the categories you weighted heaviest did not separate the platforms as clearly as the categories you weighted lightly. Before defaulting to the higher number, check the tie against your must-have list: a platform that fails even one non-negotiable requirement should drop out regardless of its weighted total. If both platforms clear every must-have, treat the tie as a signal to go deeper on the categories that mattered most, with a scripted demo, a reference call, or a proof of concept, rather than letting a fractional score decide for you.

Turn your scorecard into a decision.

Lightbridge ERP runs the same weighted, evidence-based methodology as a structured engagement, with no vendor kickbacks steering the outcome.
